This will be a private tour, approximately 4 hours of the scenic Red Rock Canyon. It's a short drive from the strip of 20-25 minutes and I will give commentary about the history and geology of the region.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is located 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip in the Spring Mountain Range. It offers a scenic 13 mile drive through beautiful canyon vistas and miles of hiking trails. Wander among the huge red rocks and marvel at the incredible scenery if you dare to scale the mountain sides. There are picnic areas, a visitor center with an outdoor observation area and a book store. This is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the strip, fun for everyone! Then it's back to Vegas!
Enjoy a beautiful 13 mile drive through the canyon and see Calico Basin, Red Rock Overlook, Wilson Cliffs and even an old quarry where at one time large stones were cut for construction in the Vegas Valley. You may take a short hike or longer one and see hidden springs and ancient petroglyphs. This is a half day tour for friends and families who want to see the nature surrounding Las Vegas.
Then it's back to Las Vegas!
